i got the 1 gram of protein per pound from optimum nutrition protein guide and has worked out really well for me i gained 7 pounds of lean muscle in about 2 weeks or less by doing this with using optimum nutrition 100% whey gold standard and watching my protein intake through my diet and as far as bsn goes n.o. explode has to be by far the best pre workout supplement out because on days i dont even feel like working out i take that and im ready to go out and train without getting a headache or feeling sick
Ha yea, X-plode works great, I've been off it for a while just taking Nitrix right now. Not sure if you have used Gaspari's SuperPump 250, but that stuff works really well, less jittery for me.
i didnt really like the superpump some guy was giving out a bunch of samples at the viatamin shop but then again i only used it 1 time but it didnt seem like it got me going like the no explode does but i will give it another try one of these days

My friend has been has been taking a supplement called Jacked. It makes him shit after 15 minutes, and it apparently makes him "real focused" on working out. Also made him more vericose, and he has veins popping out of his arms like never before.

Based on what I've heard, I can't endorse this product at all. Sounds like it would cause blood pressure problems/heart problems.

I am getting conflicting data with Creatine.

Does creatine actually help build muscle or is it just an aid to help with recovery? Trying to look into what ever I can as its hard to gain mass with a fast metobolism.

If by build muscle you mean filling them up with water, than yes, it helps "build" muscle.

Generally, creatine is more about performance than mas building as a substance. At least as far as I know and was told by people using it. I knew many boxers who used it regularly so they can bench-press more.

Let's just say it's not in my ideal diet plan.

simple answer yes it does helps with your endourance and muscle fatigue kre-alkalyn is pretty good if you dont want to retain alot of water and is in pill form so you dont have to worry about mixing up a powder and it is fairly cheap compared to alot of powders out there and you dont have to have a loading or have to cycle off of it

My buddy is using creatine, and he is very thorough about cycling it in month one and out month two etc. etc. He is getting very good results.

Also, keep in mind, many protein/whey powders have creatine in it as well.

it is the most important out of all because its what makes your muscles grow and you should take in about a gram of protein per lb through supps and your diet

A-rocc - shoot me a PM. I'll need a reminder to ask my buddy the name/brand of the stuff he gets. He gets a huge tub off of Amazon as well, and he swears by it. I can't argue with it. He's become rather lean, and his biceps just keep growing. He also shovels a ton of a tuna into his mouth daily...that I can't recommend. I have to check my sources on local fisheries/fish farms but I'm not sure the canned tuna is from lakes but might be from the oceans, and therefore can accumulate a lot of mercury.

joed777 wrote:The nutrition course I took recommended .5-.7 grams per pound of bodyweight for active athletes. Extra protein that's not used is extra calories which turns into fat, albeit bodybuilders will up it to 1-1.5 grams per pound and I'm pretty sure they know what works best with their bodies. Optimum nutrition is the best whey protein out, its won protein of the year a couple times, bodybuilding.com is a good source and is relatively cheap. Personally I've always been a fan of Syntha 6 by BSN, takes like cake lol

I read that it's 0.8 grams per Kilogram of body weight, not pound of body weight.

This is something that will be debated forever and has not definete answer. Everybody has a different body that will respond better to different things but like earlier said, rule of thumb, 1 gram of protien per pound of bodyweight.
I'm around 6,1 and 220lbs and i tend to have 3 protien shakes a day (150 grams) 1 an hour before workout, one post workout and once mixed with milk before bed (slow release), then have a snack of either tuna/mackrel/sardines/chicken breasts etc during the day with a dinner of either meat/fish/chicken and vegtables and some fruit whenever i'm alittle hungry. I always take in around 300 grams of protien a day which i find works for me.
As for Jack'd i have it at home but after trying it a couple of times have stopped using it, i just didn't like how it made me feel, i just felt wired and all shakey. I took 2 scoops so maybe i might try one scoop and see how i go but i remember thinking f*ck, i feel like shit after i took it.

I want to warn everyone to avoid a certain multi-vitamen brand.

I felt that all multi-vitamens were pretty much the same, so I decided to try one of the cheapest brands sold. I tried the common Wal-Mart brand called "Equate" vitamens. I bought these in Montreal, and they caused me some serious stomach pain, even when taken with lots of food and water. I asked my girl friend to try one and she had major stomach pains too.

I did some research and there are people with similar claims about Equate brand....So dont go too cheap with your multi-vitamen supplement.

I switched to Centrum brand vitamens and havent had any problems since then.

Ha ha, love how you had stomach problems from them so gave one to the missus!
Bet she loved you for that!
