Your favorite grappling technique.

If you train jujitsu, wrestling, sambo, Whatever, what is your favorite ground technique?

I know alot of you wont like mine, but my favorite technique is LnP from guard. You say it takes no skill, it takes alot of concentration to keep your leverage right and not get rolled. I usually act like I am going for an arm when I pass to half guard and do more LnP. I have used the technique in the Keping brock lesnar half guard video, and it works as long as you do it right and you outsize your opponent.

My favorite sub is the arm triangle, because I have amazing arm strength and it is the easiest to apply and win.

My favorite is probably a Triangle Choke, just because I have long legs and it's easy to slip in on most people if they aren't watching out for it.

I roll with this guy who is a former champion collegiate wrestler and a total badass on the ground. He used to isolate my triangle by forcing me up before I locked it up 100% and pinning me inward. It forces your legs to extend back out and nullifies the triangle.

That is until I learned you can actually transition a triangle straight into an armbar if you're quick enough with your hips.

Worked like a charm too. I went for my triangle, he went to pin me, and wound up in an armbar before he knew what had happened. Beautiful stuff. I love BJJ :)

Of course, that's submissions. If we're talking about MMA ground, I prefer to get into mount or even half guard and lay down some serious GnP. I'm a striker before a submissionist, so if I can hit, that's always my preferred option.

I've always been a fan of the guillotine - mainly because if you catch an arm in with it you cant get hit by it. I'm very conservative.

Well I haven't sub'd anyone in a guillotine in like 9 years. Eddie Bravo says the trick to the guillotine is developing the squeezing power. He said that (he suspects that) Marcelo Garcia and Minotauro work on the power aspect all the time.

Also guillotine for me works better if I stack the back of the neck then squeeze if in the positioning is right.

I really like the arm drag to set up the rear naked. There is a good series that Marcelo garcia shows off the arm drag to see it all you have to see his first instructional set as well as his Japanese camp vid

When the pull back ( with there arm) I usually stay with it, it only helps me get there back. When they are so strong I cant pull them I like to go to half guard, and from there I try and take the back. I shoot off the arm drag also, but I really try to get the back if I can. Never got a flying armbar off it and never got a flying armbar in any tournament. You pulled off two in Naga, thats bad ass
