my point was about his career in general. if fedor beats every single strikeforce hw, big deal - they have 2 top ten hw's he hasnt fought and one of them ((the fucking champ holding the belt)) doesnt even wanna fight in strikeforce. however, if fedor loses a fight in strikefarce, then it will be a sad day indeed
if fedor lost to aa, then it would not have been a HUGE upset b'c aa was/is an established fighter and at the time aa was at least arguably the #2 hw in the world. the same most definitely cannot be said about rogers or even overeem if they ever fight. if fedor loses to roger, then it will be a HUGE upset - comparable to buster douglas upsetting tyson or serra beating gsp or maybe even rogers beating aa...
doesnt it seem a little strange that fedor, at this point in his career, is fighting a one dimensional fighter?? there is a reason for that and im sure anyone can figure that out
fedor said ufc gave him shit deal so he signed with other company that offered him better deal, what makes you think fedor went there for less money?
also can you tell me where is copy of that deal, except from white's mouth, where he gets 5+mil per fight?
brock got 400k for his ufc100 title fight what makes you think fedor would get 10 times more then brock?
m1/fedor makes up a different excuse each time they negotiate with the ufc. why would the ufc give a shit deal to the only realistic thorn in their side? zuffa has a retarded amount of money so 5mil per fight for 6 fights is pocket change to zuffa
it's been reported by a few sources that fedor was offered the 5mil per fight. we dont officially know because m1 and the ufc arent going to talk about the details of their negotiations which is why i said "
if the ufc's offer to fedor was really 5million per fight PLUS a % of the ppv buys..." once again, 30mil to zuffa is nothing
also the main event status fighters usually get a % of the ppv buys so lesnar made a shit ton more than 400,000. here is an interesting article i found:
"We know the PPV scale that Randy Couture has with the UFC, and assuming its the same for the top draws in the UFC, then combined with the known $400,000 salary that Brock Lesnar made at UFC 100, and the 1.72 million PPV buys that UFC 100 did, the PPV bonus would be $4,492,500.
That makes for a total of $4,892,500. That's assuming Brock gets the same PPV bonus as Couture. It's interesting to note that Brock made less in official Salary as defending champion, $400,000 at UFC 100, vs $450,000 as challenger ($250,000 to show, $200,000 to win bonus). It's also likely he's getting more PPV money. Who knows how much more, but
it seems very likely that he topped $5 million."

this is assuming lesnar's deal with the ufc is the same as couture. there is no way in hell fedor is
currently making more money at strikeforce than he would in the ufc. it will take an act of god for strikeforce to be able to seriously compete with the ufc where the money is: ppv sales
so zorg buddy, does 5mil per fight for fedor seem like a stretch now?
cbs is probably taking a big piece of pie out of the total revenue generated from the up coming strikeforce event. strikeforce is using cbs in order to become a mainstream name, oil the fedor hype-machine, and pick up new fans
strikeforce is not on cbs to make money. the money is in ppv sales which is where strikeforce plans on eventually having some events. the big question is, who is fedor going to fight to headline a strikeforce ppv event? if you can somehow manage to name a realistic condender ((plz dont say overeem)), then who is fedor going to fight to headline strikeforce's second ppv event? clearly strikeforce is shitting their pants and waiting for a miracle to fall in their lap
