Machida is good but shoguns groundwork is excellent and I am sure there will be some time on the ground which is the time to have it finished by SHOGUN!

For those of you saying UD... Remember, this is a title fight, 5 x 5 minute rounds. I don't see this fight going 25 minutes. Machida has a lot of decisions in history, but Rua has been in very few fights that go to decision.

Rua's style isn't going to allow Machida to be overly defensive, he is going to attack, and I see this one over before 2 rounds. Really tuff to call the winner.

My god...talk about careers so far....

Rua has beat: Liddell, Coleman, Overeem (2x), Randleman, Nogueira, Q. Jackson.

Machida has beat: Evans, Thiago Silva, Ortiz, Sokoudjou, BJ Penn, Rich Franklin, Stephan Bonnar, David Heath.

I'm getting amped for this. This could be really good.

PRIDE is dead but yea it was a lot better organization than UFC by far when both existed back in the day.

I just watched some old fights of Machida and I think he will destroy Shogun. He seemed unhitabble. His footwork is crazy. In the Ortiz fight he threw so many great feints. He took him down too and he has one of the best takedown defense Tito couldn't do shit to him.

I agree with you 100% on this! I LOOOOOOOOVE Shogun & Lyoto! I wish I could say Shogun would shine through but as we all know, his PRIDE days are long gone =/ If Shogun thinks he can come out and barely win like he did over Chuck hes in a world of hurt!

Sad to say it but:

I think this fight will goto cards... I cant honestly say who I think will win because I would love to see Shogun come out like he did against Rampage & pick him apart with those MT knees =/ However to the flip side, his conditioning is horrible, as seen in his previous 2 fights so I honestly doubt it!

If shogun thinks he can come out and barely win like he did over chuck??? Did you even watch the fight??? How could you say he BARELY won if Chuck got knock the fuck out and completly outclassed in the first round? + Shogun's cardio looked a lot better in that fight than in his previous outings
