As is most of the comments on here... I'm pretty bummed out that Marquardt lost. Even if Sonen didn't do as much damage from the top as people wanted you cant take anything away from him. He controled where the fight took place and weather he was "LnP" or not, Marquardt couldn't get up and he coudn't dictate where the fight took place, which is why Sonen won the decision.

And I dont think that Marquardts guard was bad at all, he did some good damage from the bottom and threatened Sonnen with a dangerous gillotine attempt. Maybe just has to work on his takedown defense a little bit and getting to his feet from guard. Another year or so and he'll be back in the title picture I'm sure.
