Hello

I punched someone, who had a brace... and landed cleanly on his fucking gaping mouth.

My knuckles cut fairly deep and now is swollen, it happened about 16 hours ago...

My question is why is it only my middlefinger that is swollen? Did I punch incorrectly?

I guess you hardly ever land a perfect shot. However, be careful about that injury. One of the Overeem-brothers nearly lost his hand due to an infection after a similar story.

and the infectinos are nasty are friend of mine hit me on the tooth and it cut his finger took two months to heal and the first week his whole hand was swoolen

I would not train Boxing or BJJ with a swollen middlefinger.

cuts keep it clean , if its reallly fuckin bleeding u might need a stitch or 2 , nothing u can really do 16 hours tho (stiches only work a few hours after cut)
other then that abotu the broken knuckle u cant really do much unless get surgery and they barely do those, they heal up fairely easily and fast with out the surgery but next time u punch someone guartee itll re break,

ice it and have a few beers and watch the fights tonight ull be alright dude,

ya thats no good , u might need to take a break just keep ur cardio up and goto practice and jus try and do what you can do ya know?, I always hate that when u go out drinkin and do somethign stupid like that and u gotta pay for it for a month , jus pisses me off even more... ice er dude

Go see a doctor. If it's an infection, he'll give you some antibiotics and it should wear off.

If it's your knuckle that is swollen, than you will have to lay off the heavy bag for a while. And trust me, it is good to have that X-rayed because one of the bones in your fist or a knuckle could be broken and you won't even know until two months from now it doesn't subside and you are left with a limited movement of the finger or a disfigured joint.

I punched a guy in the head once and noticed that my right hand was very swollen. Thought I just bruised something and left it for a week. Finally went to the hospital and was told that I had broken the top knuckle on my middle finger. By thtis time the bones had already started healing improperly and, consequently, they had to re-break my hand, insert metal pins and do some surgery on it. If I had just gone in right away none of that would have likely been necessary. So my advice to you is to get it checked out right away!

doctor for sure...that's nothing to play around with.
