I had the same problem. it comes back again and again if you don't be aware of it.
if you build up your forearm muscles, it is good for your wrist, because there is less energy on your wrist. avoid push-ups and every barbell practice in which you stress your wrist. I found out myself that you can lift weights like the hammer movement without stressing the wrist much - but try to avoid fast movements while lifting weight. you need muscles to stabilize the wrists, then the pain won't be coming back and just avoid cross lifting and push ups : ).
I fractured both of my wrists, especially the right, when a was a child and it came back 10 years after that. now it is okay, because I take care of it. a few years ago I couldnt even type at the computer without pain.
you can also use ice, bandages and tape.

Do it with your palms down(like in the pic) until you can reach 50 times the floor with your nose. When you get that conditioning you will start to change hands position. Do series of slow 15 movements with a start and stops of 1 minute stretching over each 30 movements achieved.

1) Fingers looking each others: -< >-
2) Reverse, fingers looking down: ^^
3) Fingers looking each others, palm looking at you.
4) Closed palm(like punching) knuckles 2,3 and 4 in the floor.
5) Fingers looking each others, palm looking at you.
6) Closed palm(like punching) knuckles 1 and 2 in the floor.

Do it before your workout and remember to use cold water to cooling your hands at the end of that.

Ps.: As always, do not be afraid of make any correction about my text, let my errors teach me some English :P

you will destroy your wrists, if you have wrist problems and do this..!

You are not supposed to do this felling pain oO

My left wrist problem have gone with this series and my Right-Repetitive strain injury too.

But why u say it would destroy the wrists? Do you think i would be doing better without this?

I did push ups a long time and as suddenly, I noticed that they were not good as a left them out and thought about it. nearly your full weight is on them! I always felt pain after that, but I didnt know that - this - was the problem, because I mixed it up with lifting weights, which I also did the wrong way. during the years, I experienced on my own what is good and not good for my wrists. maybe you have another problem than me.when I was like 10 years old, I fell direktly on my hands and it was too much for my wrists though I was not fat or something, it was just unlucky.. 10 years later it came back when I worked at a machine. it can come back at every time, so just take care. if you are cool with push ups as a warm up, it's allright. if you dont feel pain and dont hear strange sounds when you work-out, it's good. but I for myselfwont even do 50 push ups anymore for 1000 $, because it fucks up my wrists! ;-)

I just tried to give my experience with this wrist problem to others, because I couldnt find any help with that problem, couldnt train and I think that there are a lot of people outthere who might have the same problem.

I fractured my wrist in like 4th grade and now from hitting the bag without proper protection or technique (I used to turn all my hooks over cause I thought it gave me more power :() I have intense pain in my wrist I cant really even do bag or mitt work without it being in serious pain afterwords. But I still get pain in my wrist even after taking almost 3 weeks off and Iv had pain in it for the last year and a half. If I pick up something and pressure gets put on my wrist it does feel like when I fractured it, I think its tendon damage but every time I go to the doctor I fucking forget to ask them about it... it doesnt hurt typically unless I hit something or if I pick something put even something that weighs about a pound or if I squeeze it I can feel that intense pain. Iv told my coach about it over and over and all he says is to do push ups on your knuckles and eventually it will strengthen them and you wont have any problems. But doing those makes it hurt too so fuck I have no idea wtf to do about it but be careful and just deal with the pain. Going to the doctor would be your best option cause everyone is different.
Is this the five O'clock free crack giveaway?!

poor guy.

I fractured my wrist when i was 12(5 years ago) and just tore my TF(or R) CC cartilage that connects the ulna to the hand. It's fucking painful, and my wrist can't rotate more then 45 degrees. Sucks for my hand, hope you strengthen up and get better!

If you're wrists hurt when hitting the bag it means they aren't strong enough to support the impact of your fist. There's a good chance wrapping won't help, and if it does, it will be a temporary solution. The most surefire way to prevent this from happening is to merely increase wrist strength through wrist and fore-arm exercises. Fore-arm curls and wrist rotations are the best wrist strength builders. Here's a website with most of the exercises I use to build wrist strength.

Good luck
