I think that the Herb Dean did a great job reffing that match.
That being said, as I watched the fight again, it became more apparent how dominant Jones was. Even while on their feet, they had a quick clinch, and Jones had the knees pumping instantly.
I find myself constantly underwhelmed by Vera, and I think he is nothing more then a gate-keeper/journeyman. Jones, on the other hand is a future contender, and to think of him under Greg Jackson's toutelage, makes me believe we are seeing the next big thing at LWH
(future super-fight: Gegard Mousasi vs Jon Jones Bones... who would win?)

I'd go even further tho'... that tactic was used by Muhammad Ali on George Foreman (told everybody that big ole George couldn't hit what he couldn't see, and that he was too fast - would dance around him all night. When the fight came, Ali opened up the first round by hitting foreman with several lead rights (just to piss him off) and then laid back on the ropes and spent the next rounds letting Foreman punch himself out. (hence the term: rope-a-dope - ali coined that phrase about that fight. foremam, being the dope)
Ali proved what some fighters today have realised: Most fights are won or lost before you step into the cage.
