Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir 2 - Fight Vid UFC 100

Lets face it this fight has two outcomes.

1. Lesnar by steamroller then ground and pound.
2. Mir by submission, I am guessing heel hook or triangle choke!!!!

for some reason I think Mir might blast out a choke?.....

I want Mir to win this fight simply because of lesnars fight against heath herring, Lesnar was such a prick. I am a bit fearful that Mir might try to stand and box lesnar which is not such a good idea cause you better be pretty fucking accurate to knock that chunk of rock down.

One key factor here will be cardio. Mir's was never great, but was much improved (just like his boxing) for the Nog fight. Leswnar trains like a beast, but is just too fucking big to go more than a couple of rounds (he showed his gas tank during the Couture fight).

So all I can say is this: If Mir can hold a tight guard and survive the first, explosive round, he will win the fight. But Lesnar has a very good chance of atom bombing Mir's face in a couple of minutes.

Remember, Mir could make a mistake here, too. If he gets overconfident in his subs and opens his guard, he'll receive a pounding he'll never forget.

a couple months ago i was going back and forth on who i thought would win. after rewatching their first fight and reading this post by gsp, i gotta go with lesnar

Lesnar stepped into the cage (Read: The biggest fighting stage in the MMA world) as a complete and utter Newbie. Look at his mistakes.

1) Jackrabbit Hammerfists to the back of the head. Stupid. If he would have had the experience to exhibit patience in his advantage, the fight would have ended in under a minute, Lesnar with his hand raised.

2) Not recognizing a slow motion knee bar setup from an elite BJJ fighter... FUCKING RETARDED BROCK!

Now assess his progress. Come on, you are a smart guy, you can put this together. Do you think the Brock making his UFC Debut is going to be the same Brock that just knocked out Randy? His confidence will have tripled, and his wisdom in the cage will be 10x what it was.

Mir got pummeled the entire fight, and escaped and i do mean ESCAPED with a knee bar, wrapped in pretty paper with a ribbon and bow on top with a letter that said PLEASE KNEEBAR ME I DONT KNOW SHIT YET.

Well he knows shit now. And thats the scary thing.

It wont happen again.

Brock made a rookie mistake in their first meeting. He's had over a year of training and fights. He is going to KO Mir in the first round.

He would have KO'd Mir in the first fight if that piece of shit Mazzagatti didn't stop Brock from tenderizing Mir's face because of some phantom punch to the back of the head.

Yeah, I agree with this. I've had it with Mazzagatti's shit. I just saw the Mir vs.Vera rerun on Spike last night and fuckin Mazzacrappy fucked that one up too. I admit Mir was getting rocked, but he wasn't out yet, and when Vera was punching Mir's face at the end, Mir was still trying to defend. The ref's only supposed to stop the fight when a fighter can no longer intelligently defend himself. I just hope they put McCarthy in there with them or someone else capable of reffing a match without being too much of a dipshit pussy.

if mir dont get knocked out by a haymaker early in the fight, he will win by submission. im a pretty big dude myself and i can tell you it's hard fightin good ground game fighters. we're not very flexible.

I don't like either one of these guys - I'd rather see Antonio Nogueira! He's a real warrior. Brock Lesar needs to go back to wrestling - and get the f$%$^^ out of the UFC! Go to Elite XC, Dream, WEC etc.!!! I think Couture would take both of these guys even today! Frank Mir is too full of himself and needs to shut the f#$%#$% up!
