You can thank Randy Couture for the legal stupidity of this situation. Randy was the HW champ when he walked out, so that kinda left a big hole where they needed a title belt. Randy was still under contract too, and since he didn't go to another promotion, they couldn't strip him of the title. So they created the ridiculous "interim HW title", which Nog won in a bout with Sylvia. Then Mir beat Nog and became the "interim" champ. Well, Randy came back and since Mir and Nog where scheduled to fight, Brock was the next logical contender (I guess). Brock beat Randy, won the "true" HW belt and now him and Mir are fighting to determine the "undisputed" HW champion.

So, realisitcally, Mir should be the HW champion right now and Brock should be working his way up to a title shot, but because of the legal atrocity created by Randy Couture, we have this instead. Good for Mir in any case. He gets to take out Brock again while the big man is still inexperienced.

I don't hate Lesnar, nor do I think he's a bad fighter or got his bet through sheer luck. He did beat respectable opponents.

HOWEVER, what I've always really disliked about him is that he got his title shot way too early, I mean come on, he was 1-1 in the UFC and got a title shot?? The only UFC fight he won was against Herring and he didn't even finish it.

Does that really warrant a title shot? Hell no.

And despite all this, Lesnar acts really arrogant, says "I'm the Heavyweight Champion of the world and I'm never gonna lose my belt", plus the way he disrespected Herring at the end of the fight with that showboating.

Seriously, that guy would have so much less haters if he was a little humble about his getting the UFC HW belt. And he fucking should be humble, because come on, he had the fucking easiest road to get it. People like Check Kongo, Velasquez and Carwin have had over 3 wins streaks in the UFC and never got a shot at the title.

All in all, I think Brock should shut the fuck up and be less arrogant.

I surely hope Mir puts him back in his place and ends this joke.

I have a feeling that it is going to be either 1st round or 2nd round Lesnar by murder. But I am hoping for Mir to pull it out. I don't have a preference for either fighter tbh. I think Lesnar is a beast and watching that training vid of his really made me respect him more than I did. But I still don't think he should be champ.

i hope mir wins, if he does it will be submission, but he need to watch out for lesnar, one mistake and he will KO and rip his head off, as much as im not a fan of lesnar he is a good fighter, maybe if ufc hadnt make such a hype about him in the begining i would like him. but like i said he is still a dangerous fighter, any haters out there need to get a reality check.

Mir is a much better fighter and def more complete all round fighter than Lesnar.Lesnar`s only tools is being that big strong wrestler and that is not enough OR good enough to beat fighters like Mir!.Lesnar is way to one dimentional
