I was hoping Nog could pull out one of his come from behind wins again, but Mir really kept the pressure on. Nog just didn't look sharp and Mir's boxing was too good last night.

Gotta give credit to Mir, even though I'm not a fan of him personally. He is a good commentator/analyst and he is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to breaking down what is needed to win against a particular opponent. Well, Lesnar got his wish and will have a rematch. It's gonna be a good fight between Mir & Lesnar. Hope it doesn't end so quick with a bullshit leg lock.

It's ironic how Mir got the leg lock after getting pummeled by Lesnar, just like Nog did in a few fights.

I was going for Nog, but it was obvious that he was hurt bad. Good call. Mir vastly improved his standup this time around. Great combinations. Those uppercuts were nasty. Kudos to Mir, and I hope that he whoops Brock Lesnar's ass... AGAIN.

That was by far the best Mir Ive ever seen. he did not look like a heavy weight the way he was moving. He was just so smooth and crisp and on point. He landed every one of those uppercuts. He deserved that win. I only wish he would have taken that bullshit Interim belt and threw it in Brock face. Cant wait for him to break Brock somthing or another.

Nogueira gat pretty smoked in this one....Herring had nogueira badly hurt, but didn't jump on him...he got up and had no legs...very good stoppage imo. i don't care how good a punch he took "in the past". Last night was last night and an extra punch from a 240lb guy like Mir when you're almost out could kill you....good stoppage.

Nah, just let it go to the finish. I've seen him hurt just as bad before and recover. I'm not saying he would have won, he was getting his ass handed to him. But good stoppage? Come on, even Joe Rogan saw that it was a crap stoppage at the time. What is wrong with just letting him get knocked out? Nothing wrong with just waiting until his hands go limp, other refs do it all the time. AGAIN!... to reiterate, for those slow on the uptake here... I am not saying he would have won... I just didn't like the stop. Dean sucks, and I've seen way too many early stops from him. Just let it end like it is supposed to. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, not like Nog was gonna die from a few more punches.

Herb Dean stopped the fight a little prematurely though, I don't think it would have changed the outcome, but still, he should have let it go on longer, you never know, especially with someone like Nogeira.

He WAS limp, his arms couldn't even lift high enough to defend himself, he just got pounded out and didn't intelligently defend himself at all. The UFC has rules, if you're not defending yourself it's over, doesn't matter if you're known for pulling off the comeback submission or whatever, if you're not blocking or swinging back the Ref is going to stop it because those are the rules and they are in place for fighter's safety. Nog could have died from a few more punches, he wasn't defending and was getting his face beaten in and the back of his head was no doubt bouncing off of the mat, he could have gotten seriously injured if the ref hadn't called it.

If you want mindless and brutal violence, go watch some old Pride tapes or early UFC tapes where the rules weren't as strict or protective of the fighters, when fighters got heel kicks to the face on the ground. In the meantime, I'll enjoy watching MMA, not gladiators to the death like you apparently want to see.
