im hopin randy wins this, i know he has what it takes.
but you cant underestimate someone as big as brockstrap. i dont like him but he does have a significant advantage over randy.

Much respect to Couture for handling his weight division as long as he has, but I've gotta vote for Lesnar on this one. Lesnar may not be the experienced fighter that Couture is, but he has strength and dedication on his side and most importantly many more years ahead of him. I'm getting sick of UFC marketing the old school fighters for the sake of sell out crowds, lets get some new blood in here!

i will go for couture in this fight,brock is a good fighter and he will be a great fighter someday but for now i cant see how brock will win to couture,couture is a very experience fighter and lots of power.brock is not yet ready for this fight,he may have a brute power.it may cause his loss.

i dont think brock even deserves a title shot after a 1 and 1 record in the UFC. even though frank got lucky.. but still its a lost. if thats the case give wandy a title shot now dana. i dam hope that Randy win but i feel that dana thinks that randy is out of shape and think that a stonger brock will win. but all in all its going to be a good fight regardless.

my prediction:
brock will mutilate randy

although randy is one of my favorites, i think brock has shown that he's the real deal. brock will be unstoppable in that division...until that asshole dana white has the courtesy to kiss fedors feet, begging him to kick his and brocks ass, brock will dominate the ufc.

This is gonna be a tough fight for Randy to win for sure, especially if it goes to the ground. However, standing up I think Randy is a far superior fighter. Knocking down Heath Herring and Mir doesnt mean shit when your fighting someone like Couture. On the ground, Brock has a lot more power and is a fantastic wrestler, but lets not forget Randy is an Olympic class wrestler too. Tough fight for sure, but lets remember that Gonzaga was a lot bigger and stronger than Randy and got manhandled. Brock is a beast, but never underestimate Captain America!

Gotta agree I think he hit that nail on the head He just has so much size and strength on Randy but no experience but he could land a good punch

I dont know how to bet on sports, but I want to find someone around me to bet $20 on Randy. ($20 in jojo money is like $5,000,000 to everyone else. Because $20 to me is two meals at a thai restaurant)

Randy is a skilled fighter but even better at picking opponents. Nog would destroy him and he is going to take brock to school. But he will loose to Nog.

...Randy does not pick his opponents. A fighter never picks his opponents. UFC picks his opponents. The Brock/Mir fight was for the #1 contender spot, but now that the Mir/Noguiera fight is set up already, they need someone for Randy to fight against for the title. Moving on; I highly doubt that Couture is going to be able to "school" Brock Lesner. The guy doesn't have anywhere near the experience level, but he has extremely impressive skills. His fight with Herring proved he learns from his mistakes. I think Randy can pull this one off, but it isn't going to be easy. I doubt hes going to be able to manhandle Lesner like he did Sylvia or Gonzaga, but who knows? Now for the second part of that post. Noguiera can not, and will in no way "destroy" Randy Couture. Noguiera doesn't "destroy" anyone. He outlasts people. He takes a shitload of punishment and pulls of a submission after his opponent gets tired. Thats the Nogueira strategy. So he might outlast Couture, but "destroy" is hardly an applicable term to use.

what i remember is gonzaga getting headbutted on his way to the floor with randy's full force in that headbutt, splitting gonzagas nose open from the get-go. gonzaga had trouble breathing for the rest of that fight, as would anyone else, otherwise gonzaga woulda dismantled couture. that fight was bogus.

The "headbutt" happened 2 minutes into the fight. Randy dominated him those first 2 minutes. The "headbutt" happened when Randy took him down. If Gonzaga had anywhere near the ability to "dismantle" Couture, he would have shown it earlier in the fight. He showed absolutely nothing, before and after the supposed "headbutt". I feel I need to adress that too, because thats not really appropriately used. A headbutt implies that Randy attempted to use his head to hurt Gonzaga. He didn't, it just happened on the take down. Thats MMA, shit happens. If Gonzaga is too much of a vagina to accept that, then he doesn't need to be a pro fighter.

gonzaga broke his forearm with a kick, and almost knocked his ass out with the kick to the head.
