The only thing hilarious aboud Rashad pivoting would be when Machida catches on and turns on the dragon speed and makes Rashad tap due to dizzyness/projectile vomiting.

That would be a good way to end the fight, loss due to projectile vomiting.

Machida will own in this fight. Evans got real lucky with judges against Bisping (everyone I was with thought the Count won it), managed to get the '1 in a million' punch on Liddell, then got lucky with a punch against Griffin (though he did have the smarts to continue after dizzy-ing Griffin). Evans is a joke and has no chance against Machida.

WAAAAAAAAAARRRR MACHIDA!

The one really good opponent (besides that lucky victory against Forest) Evans has fought was Bisping, and he gave the guy a real run for his money and then lost in a faggot split decision that was really close. Not to be putting Bisping down but that shows you that his guy hasn't been fighting opponents of Machida's caliber. The guy has an elusive strategy that is really different and not seen a lot in the UFC. Hope Machida wins because I would like to see if he can defend his title and for how long, because in the LHW that hardware changes hands A LOT!

Double Chocolate match up huh?

If Rashad goes against Page I would have to say Page would win unless if he did something stupid like Forest did getting to close. Evans is an explosive athlete no doubt about that but Rampage has gone against some real talent and I mean talent in their prime (Randlemen, Liddel, W. Silva, Shogun, Jardine) and therefore has a lot more experience than Rashad. He also has a much bigger record 30-7, that's pretty damn good if you ask me, where Rashad got an almost unblemished record (don't forget that draw to a washed up Ortiz) from fighting no-namers (Chuck was a master of knocking people out but lately a victory against him doesn't say much since he's past his prime of a few years ago).

Still I would like to check that fight out. I say if Machida wins or loses there should be a spike in some black on black crime in the UFC!

That's Brazilian Jap on Black crime to be exact.

Did you know that Brazil has the second largest population of Japanese outside of Japan, I always thought it was Hawaii. Also Brazil believe it or not has the 5th highest population of Irish and I think outside of Germany its one of the highest. Wandy's name is actually Brazilian German because the W is pronounced like a V.

Rashad should just stop fighting RIGHT NOW and go play the lottery because he's obviously a lucky fellow

As far as the BJJ stuff is concerned ... Isn't Elliot Marshall (BJJ guy from TUF) at Greg Jackson's camp? You would have to assume that Evans has been training BJJ with him and Jardine (BJJ black belt supposedly) not to mention GSP ...

Its proncounced Vanderlei. Not sure how you missed that in all the years he has been fighting.

I guess you pronounce Rua with an R as well and not "Hua"?

Royce is Royce and not Hoyce?

Its not English. Don't try to fit Brazilian into English rules because it just doesn't work like that.

It's pronounced with a W not a V. There's an interview up on youtube where he clarifies it. Too lazy to look for the link

After re-watching some Lyoto fights, a well timed/placed left hook against him could do some damage. When he throws that left counter, he drops his right hand

I would rather see Machida win over Rashad - I'm not a big Evans fan and I think Machida had superior fighting skills.

But if someone wanted to beat Machida they would have to turn the tables and force him to fight outside his comfort zone.

I say the only game plan is as he fought against Chuck. Stand back, fight defensively, ignore the booing and make Lyoto attack.

Exactly what I was thinking. Stand back and make Machida attack instead of counter attacking. If you can survive all the boos because Machida would waste 2-3 rounds doing nothing and dancing around.

All said and done, I still think Machida has the skills to beat anyone @ 205.

machida does attack.
he feints a lot, then throws a kick or a punch then leaps out.
i cannot remember a machida fight where he just circled around his opponent and didnt strike him (aka monson vs sylvia).
i am a machida fan but i just finished watching the ultimate fighter season 2 and have developed a new respect for rashad.
i think machida is technically stronger, but rashad is going to stay in that cage until they carry him out.
i am getting really excited about this one.
i think machida will make a great champ, but if rashad wins, everyone is going to get their mind blown up.
